The Details

Coming soon to Chestermere’s coveted Lakeview Shores — a bright, beautifully kept two-storey family home on a quiet, tree-lined street just steps from the water. Set behind mature evergreens with a double attached garage and a classic stone-accented entry, 145 Lakeview Shores offers a rare combination: an established lakeside neighbourhood, and a home that’s ready for its next chapter.

Inside, the main level is warm and effortless — a sun-filled living room wrapped in windows, a dining area anchored by a tile-surround fireplace and gallery wall, and a crisp white kitchen with stainless appliances, a gas range, subway-tile backsplash and an island made for gathering, with a sunny window over the sink looking onto the deck.

Upstairs, a vaulted bonus room overlooks the staircase — an ideal media or play space — while the primary retreat offers a walk-in closet and a private ensuite with soaker tub. Additional bedrooms, including a charming room with a geometric feature wall, give everyone their own corner of the house.

The fully developed lower level adds a large rec and play room, an additional bedroom and bathroom, and generous storage and workshop space. Outside, the backyard is a true summer basecamp: a full-width deck with covered lounge, a cedar-cabinet hot tub, raised garden beds, a storage shed and a private lawn framed by mature trees.

All of it sits minutes from Chestermere Lake’s beaches, pathways and boat launch, with golf, schools and shopping close by — and Calgary an easy drive west. Full listing details, measurements and pricing are coming soon; reach out below to be first in line.

Worth knowing

Ten things buyers don't know about Chestermere

01The lake came before the city

Chestermere Lake began life in 1907 as an irrigation reservoir — a natural wetland transformed by a dam and canal system for the Western Irrigation Block. The Western Irrigation District still manages it today.

02It started as a summer village

For decades Calgarians kept lakeside cottages here. The community incorporated as the Summer Village of Chestermere Lake in 1977 — with only about 120 permanent homes.

03One of Alberta’s youngest cities

Chestermere only became a city on January 1, 2015 — Alberta’s 18th — and it has kept its easy summer-town spirit ever since.

04Remarkable growth, by any measure

From roughly 1,000 residents in 1992 to more than 22,000 today, including growth of over 150% between 2004 and 2014 — one of the region’s fastest-growing communities.

05A lake you can actually use

Boating, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, fishing and swimming are all part of daily life here — and the Calgary Yacht Club has called the lake home for decades.

06Real beaches, minutes from Calgary

Anniversary Park offers a sandy beach and boat launch right in town — about twenty minutes from the edge of Calgary.

07Festivals on the water

The Chestermere Water Festival takes over the lake each summer, and the Winter Festival brings skating and lakeside fun to John Peake Park.

08Golf winds through the neighbourhood

Lakeside Greens’ 18 semi-private holes thread through the community — the fairways are just down the street from Lakeview Shores.

09Pathways ring the lake

A walking and cycling loop circles Chestermere Lake, linking beaches, parks and coffee stops — plus a BMX track and skate park for the kids.

10Small-town feel, big-city convenience

Chestermere Station covers the daily errands, East Hills (Costco, Walmart, cinemas) is about ten minutes west, and downtown Calgary is roughly 25 minutes door to door.

The setting

Chestermere

Chestermere grew up around its lake — a genuine, swimmable, boatable body of water with sandy beaches, a yacht club and a pathway loop, about twenty minutes east of Calgary. What began as a cottage colony is now one of Alberta’s youngest cities, and the easy summer-town spirit never left.

From Lakeview Shores, the water is a short stroll away, Lakeside Greens golf is around the corner, and Chestermere Lake Middle School is within walking distance. Chestermere Station handles the daily errands, East Hills shopping is ten minutes west, and downtown Calgary is an easy commute along Highway 1 or 17th Avenue.
